Add your PDF
Drop the document onto the box above, click to browse, or paste it from your clipboard. Every page appears as a thumbnail rendered from the real file.
-
Rotate the pages that need it
Each card has a rotate button that turns that page 90° clockwise per click — the thumbnail turns with it, and a badge shows the accumulated angle. Four clicks bring it home.
-
Check the landscape and portrait mix
Tap any page for a full-size preview. Scans that were fed sideways, tables photographed upright, mixed orientations — you see the final state before saving.
-
Click “Save rotated PDF”
The document is rebuilt on your device with the rotation applied per page. Nothing is re-rendered: the pages keep their full quality, only their orientation changes.
-
Download the result
One click saves the rotated PDF. The original file is untouched — rotation produces a new document, so you can always go back.

How to Rotate PDF Pages
Why choose our rotate pdf tool?
Per-page precision
Whole-document rotation is one click per page, and mixed documents are where this shines: page 4 sideways, the rest fine — rotate exactly that one, leave the others alone.
What you see is what prints
Thumbnails and previews turn with your choices, and the badge on each page states its rotation. No guessing which way “final” will come out of the printer.
True rotation, not a re-render
The tool sets the page’s rotation attribute — the PDF-native way — instead of rasterizing the page into an image. Text stays selectable and sharp at any zoom; file size barely moves.
Rotate while you organize
The rotate control also lives in our other page tools: straighten a scan while merging, or while deleting pages. One pass, one download.
Private by construction
Rotation happens in your browser on a background worker. Your document never touches a server — disconnect your network and it still works.
Free, unlimited, no watermark
No account, no daily cap, no branding on your output. Rotate one page or two hundred; the price stays zero.
Tips for rotate pdf
- Scanned pages almost always need 90° or 270° — one click either way; the badge tells you when you’ve gone full circle (360° resets to none).
- Rotating here does NOT crop or resize anything: a landscape page turned portrait keeps all its content, letterboxed by the viewer.
- Fixing a whole upside-down scan? Click rotate twice per page — or organize first and rotate during the merge instead.
- Some viewers ignore page rotation in full-screen mode; the file is correct — check in the print preview.
- Encrypted files must be unlocked first; the browser cannot read pages it cannot open.
rotate pdf — Frequently asked questions
How do I rotate a PDF page?
Add the file, click the rotate button on each page that needs turning (90° clockwise per click), then save. The output is a new PDF with those pages rotated.
Can I rotate all pages at once?
There is no separate “rotate all” switch — each page is one click, which keeps mixed documents easy. For a uniformly wrong document, three clicks per page is still faster than uploading it anywhere.
Will rotation reduce the quality of my pages?
No. Rotation changes the page’s orientation attribute, not its content. Text stays selectable and vector graphics stay vector — nothing is re-rendered or recompressed.
Does rotating change the page size?
The width and height swap visually when a page turns 90° or 270°, and the content rotates with it. No content is cropped, stretched or letterboxed into the file itself.
Is my original file modified?
Never. Saving produces a new document; the file on your disk keeps its original orientation until you choose to replace it.
Are my documents uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser via a Web Worker — the same privacy every tool on this site shares by architecture.
