How to Extract Pages from a PDF

  1. Add your PDF

Drop the document onto the box above, click to browse, or paste it from your clipboard. It opens locally — every page appears as a thumbnail you can inspect before choosing.

  2. Check the pages you want

Tick the pages that should make up your new document — the counter tracks the selection live. Tap any page for a full-size preview so you never grab the wrong one.

  3. Put them in order if needed

The extracted pages keep your on-screen order, so rearranging here is allowed and intentional: drag cards (or use the arrows) until the sequence reads the way you want.

  4. Click “Extract pages”

A new PDF is assembled on your device from your selection. The original file is never modified — extraction always produces a separate document.

  5. Download the result

One click saves the extracted pages as a clean PDF. Pages are copied byte-for-byte: text stays selectable, scans keep their quality.

Why choose our extract pdf pages tool?

Visual, not syntactic

Typing “2, 5-7” works elsewhere; here you point at the pages themselves. For scanned files where every page looks like a filename from 2009, seeing beats counting.

Any selection, any order

Contiguous or scattered, ascending or shuffled — the extraction follows your checks and your ordering. Page 9 can land before page 2 if that’s what the job needs.

Full-size previews built in

Tap a thumbnail to open a high-resolution render. Verifying that page 14 is really the appendix takes one click, not one download.

The original is untouchable

Extraction never writes to your source file. The selection becomes a new document, and your original stays exactly as it was — safely re-extractable tomorrow.

Nothing is uploaded

The whole operation runs in your browser on a background worker. Contracts, statements, medical records: they are processed on your device and nowhere else.

Free with no strings

No account, no watermark, no daily quota. Extract from one document or thirty; the tool treats them identically.

Tips for extract pdf pages

  • Extracting the same chapter repeatedly? The selection resets after each run — re-check the pages or use Split PDF with a saved range instead.
  • Need pages 1-3 as one file and 8-9 as another? Extract twice, or split once with ranges “1-3, 8-9”.
  • Extraction and deletion are mirror images: unsure which you need, count the smaller side and pick that tool.
  • After extracting, merge the result with other documents — the pages arrive in your chosen order.
  • Password-protected documents must be unlocked first; the browser cannot show pages it cannot read.

extract pdf pages — Frequently asked questions

How do I extract specific pages from a PDF?

Add the file, check the pages you want in the thumbnail grid, and click Extract. Each checked page is copied into a fresh PDF, in the order shown on screen.

Does extracting pages change my original file?

Never. The tool reads your document and writes a new one containing only the selected pages. Your original is not modified, moved, or re-saved.

Can I reorder pages while extracting?

Yes. The output follows the on-screen order of the selected cards, so you can drag pages into a different sequence as part of the same operation.

Is there a limit on how many pages I can extract?

No hard limit — extract one page or every page. The practical ceiling is device memory, since the document is processed entirely in your browser.

Will the extracted pages look the same?

Identical. Pages are copied, not re-rendered: fonts, vectors, image resolution and links all pass through untouched.

Can I extract pages from an encrypted PDF?

Not directly — the browser cannot read encrypted content. Unlock the file first with our Unlock PDF tool, then extract from the unlocked copy.
